Blogging on the go

Blogging on the go for the first time today!

Just discovered this app called Blogspace and am giving it a try now, while eating my free pudding (so very kindly offered to me by one of the chefs here).

The reason why I hadn't been very active on this blog is because the web version of blogspot didn't have a photo-upload function on the go.

And I am one who loves to express moments through photos. In this sense, FB was a lot easier. But I didn't really want to share too much of my thoughts on FB (just to you privileged few ;) so don't spread my link around ok?) and I need a space to lay out my jumbled thoughts so things have more clarity. Writing can really be therapeutic.

On this lovely Saturday in Tokyo, I am spending time savoring my lunch while reading this book called "The 7 habits of highly effective people".

This book is taking me forever to read. Not because it's dry or difficult to read, but because to fully absorb the ideas, you'll need to slowly savor it. And what better time to do that than on a drizzly Saturday afternoon with a hot cup of coffee?

I'll be back with more.

I need to write

So I can sort out my thoughts and everything will be clearer.

The problem is.

It doesn't come flowing. It's blocked somewhere inside.

Need to release it..

Almost spring

Today I finally managed to get myself out of the door for some much-needed sunshine.

I'd never been a big fan of the sun actually, but being out on a sunny winter day makes a difference when you'd been stuck indoors, only being able to see sunlight from the window, but not feel it on your skin.

The wind today brings a hint of spring; I can almost imagine the sakura petals on those naked trees along the river. I see people cycling on the streets, wind in their hair. And an impulse to buy a bicycle right from the store down the street surges in me.

I didn't succumb to the impulse. I told myself: there are 3 months ahead for you to enjoy the spring wind on the bicycle. It doesn't have to be today.

Today I shall enjoy the slow stroll down the streets.

Merry Xmas!

Spending Christmas quietly this year.

Just enjoying a cup of hot cocoa in a small cafe whilst listening to jazzy Xmas jingles and watching snowflakes fall outside.. is what I've always wanted to do.

Sometimes unexpectedly simple pleasures like this makes me contented.

A very lovely merry Christmas to you!

How do you keep the music playing?

Heard this song while I was having dinner at Buco Jiburo and it brought back a wash of memories.

How I loved this song.. Enjoy folks.

How do you keep the music playing?

How do you keep the music playing?
How do you make it last?
How do you keep the song from fading
too fast?

How do you lose yourself to someone
and never lose your way?
How do you not run out of new things
to say?

And since we know we're always changing
How can it be the same?

And tell me how year after year
You're sure your heart won't fall apart
Each time you hear his name?

I know the way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love, the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck then I suppose
The music never ends

I know (how do you keep the music playing)
the way I feel for you is now or never (how do you make it last)
The more I love the more that I'm afraid
(how do you keep the song from fading)
That in your eyes I may not see forever
(Keep the song from fading)
Forever

If we can be the best of lovers
yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck then I suppose
The music never ends

幸せ・幸せ・幸せ

Wicked stands for my favourite musical. Cucumber is a reminder to myself to stay cool in all circumstances.

The title is to reflect how happy I feel today.

Nothing great happened today - I just realized the simplest pleasure makes me happy. And what would that be that lifted my spirit so?

Cool weather, some me-time, fantabulous pasta, superb service, appreciation that I showed up at the pasta restaurant 2 days in a row, and a free tiramisu to show for that!

Lovely place Buco Jiburo is.

The only regret of the day is that I forgot to bring my camera along with me so that I can do the touristy thing.

Oh well, I will be back again anyway. =)
